2020 3rd International Conference on Materials Design and Applications (ICMDA 2020) was successfully held online during April 10-13, 2020
2020 3rd International Conference on Materials Design and Applications (ICMDA 2020) was originally planned to be held in Chiba University, Japan during April 10-13, 2020. Due to the pandemic, the conference was held through online platform together with the other 2 co-located conferences: ICMEM&ICBBM. All conference sessions were also chaired via web platform and all presentations were made online.
There are around 40 people from different parts of the world attended the conference, such as Thailand, Indonesia, China, Japan, Russia, Cyprus, UK, USA, Philippines, France, India, Korea, South Africa, Poland etc. Thank you all for your participation!
In order to obtain smooth conference and make people get familiar with zoom functions and online conference procedure, we conducted test sessions on April 10, 2020.
On April 11, 2020, Prof. Takashige Omatsu (Chiba University, Japan) delivered the opening remarks and announced the opening of the conference. He also announced the date for 2021 conference and welcomed everyone to join and meet in ICMDA 2021. After that, Prof. Stephen John Pennycook (National University of Singapore, Singapore), Prof. Takashige Omatsu (Chiba University, Japan), and Prof. Hongqi Sun (Edith Cowan University, Australia) gave wonderful and excellent keynote speeches.
Paper presentations sessions were made on April 11 afternoon and April 12 full day. There are 4 sessions with topics of: Metallic Materials, Composite Materials, Materials Characterization, and Mechanical System. All presenters had done a great job and 4 presenters were chosen as best presentation winners by session chairs. Congratulations!
On April 13, 2020, the conference sessions were replayed to all audience so that participants who missed the speeches on the previous days, they can watch and listen.
